Sun?
Just when you thought it was safe,
To take off your boots for a day,
Snow fell all around in the night,
And got in everyone's way.
Even the most patient of us,
Has had enough cold weather now,
We're no longer vigilant, waiting,
To hear the comforting noise of the plow.
We're ready for robins and tulips,
For sunshine warm on our faces,
Seeds germinating in gardens,
And lunches in warm, outside places.
