Caveat

Today's word is "caveat" ... A warning or a caution.

This following may not be easy.
There were promises of peace,
and yet, a caveat that it may
not be the peace we were
hoping for. The way he spoke
made this world seem temporary
as the words he breathed but full of
something that wouldn't ...
couldn't die. Though we are caught
between the now of our lives,
and the past that was his, the
future he said he was
and is preparing, beckons
us to come and see.
