Cognizant

Today's word is "cognizant" ... Aware.

Blind
One way conversation ...
no  cognizance of anyone else
in the room. Except as a face
to talk to. So many stories to
tell. So much life lived. Oh,
how to fit it all in!

But, what if you are the
one left to listen? Will you
remain patient ... and ask
even more questions; probe
to find an interesting detail?
Will you enjoy the situation
or will you run away to that
that place in your head where
your smile is genuine?
