Today's word is "quickhatch" ... KWIK-hach ... a wolverine.
Mean
Snuffling from his burrow,
Snarling at the day,
The quickhatch looks for lunch,
Eating whatever comes his way.
All alone he wanders,
Tracking through the wood,
Over snow filled meadows,
Not even trying to be good.
His ferocious habits,
Sharp teeth and fearsome face,
Give him a reputation,
One without a touch of grace.
When looking for an animal,
To be a mascot tough,
Look no further than the wolverine,
He'll be far more than enough.
