Hempy ... Hide

Hide

Running all about the place,

Acorns adorning his small face,

The hempy squirrel digs a hole,

Enjoying his very busy role.

Each fall at about this time,

He makes in the lawn a fine design,

Of holes and lumpy hills of grass,

That trip up our shoes as we walk past.

In the Winter, he'll retrieve,

The treats he hid beneath the leaves,

And take them back into his nest,

Glad that the work he did was blest.
