Salute
The guard changes
in timeless ritual,
The sentinels from their
cloister come,
To stand and to protect
the honor of the dead ...
Those who fell in battle,
protecting freedom's cause.
Precision marks their steps,
into twenty-one divided.
And their solemn presence proves,
a reverence held.
They do not know the name
of those they guard,
Only that they are deserving.
And yet, they too, stand and serve.
