Duple ... Staff

Today's word is "duple" ... DOO-pull ... having two parts; double; twofold.

Staff
How is one to know,
What peculiar meter should be used,
To set the rhythm of a tune,
That the mind's pursued.

It is a tricky business,
Metamorpsizing thought into a song,
Getting all the pieces right,
So the rest can hum along.

Honor's due composers who,
Can a duple to a triple change,
And make our eyes run sweet with tears,
By notes artfully arranged.
