Azoth ... Perfect

Today's word is azoth ... AZ-oth ...The universal remedy of Paracelsus; Mercury, regarded by alchemists as the assumed first principle of all metals. (dictionary.com)

Perfect
Through the days which mesmerize,
We look for the source of all things wise,
But thought invisible does hide,
From our open, questing eyes.

The Azoth, most mysterious force,
Keeps the stars and all on course,
And we when quiet in our hearts,
May hear this voice of which we're part.

Rivers of great goodness flow,
In those who in love's way do go,
And there is solace to be had,
Leaving us joyous ... no longer sad.
