Today's word is "welkin" ... the sky; the vault of heaven.
Vault
Higher than the welkin high,
Is the God to whom I cry,
In pain, in rage, in joy or gloom,
On city street or lonely room.
I know he hears us, in this world,
To him all secrets are unfurled.
With patience does he wait until,
We bring our hearts for him to fill.
Thus satisfied, we can go out,
Into the world with happy shout,
Proclaiming loud and long the glory,
Of his resurrected story.
