Today's word is "riposte" ... A quick effective reply by word or act.

In the university,
There is much to do and see,
All the knowledge of the world,
Around and through your head may swirl.

If you think a certain way,
And a repost can quickly say,
You'll fit right in with all the rest,
Who vie to see who is the best.

But if you don't fall right into line,
And cannot the highest things devine,
Your road might be rockier than most,
Then in what knowing will you boast?

Think of this then, if you will,
School doesn't necessarily instill,
Truth or wisdom which will show,
How you should in your life go.

So find the direction that you need,
In God's own scriptures and the creeds,
The hymns and sermons of the saints,
This, you with wisdom will acquaint.
