Know
All this holy business,
How do we know what's true?
From scholars bright and ancient scrolls,
Or from theories, new?
It seems we'd have a leg up,
If Greek and Hebrew we could read,
And comportment and experience,
Filled all inquiry's need.
But even with each fact researched,
Every parchment scrap in place,
And every witness verified,
We might need a little grace,
For within the common mystery,
A new world welcomed has begun,
To be seen with hearts wide open,
By those whose light comes from the Son.
