Sessile

Today's word is "sissile" ... Permanently attached; not freely moving.

I've seen the high flyers,
Flush with success or brillance,
Everything going their way,
Not frozen in sissile commonness,
Free to believe in their futures.
Until something happens.
Sooner or later. And then all
The money and fame and flattery,
Become as dust. Because there
Was never really anything
There in the first place.
