What can make time slow it's step?
Not a trick or tune or mot,
Not the turning of an eye that's blind ...
(that only makes it's speed increase).
Not running faster in pursuit. Or pretending
that it is not moving after all. But
sometimes, when you breathe most deeply,
and pay attention to the moment
in your hand, the seconds seem to
stop in place, awaiting
your next inhale.
