Hardihood

Today's word is "hardihood" ... Boldness or daring; courage.


Why
How did he decide,
If he could survive,
The journey into starkness,
The world of all our darkness?

What compassion wild,
Makes one become a child,
To witness mankind's mess ...
Such a tragic wilderness.

Did he ever think,
That the mean cup he'd drink,
And go through tortures slow,
To save us from our woe?

Was heaven on his mind,
When he taught that God is kind,
And that each of us is graced,
As God holds us each in place?

In his amazing hardihood,
It seems he understood,
The task was worth the pain,
For God our love to gain.
