Skedaddle

Today’s word … skedaddle: run away fast; flee

Cured!

The day was bright in the outskirts wild,
Where 10 sick men were banished,
They had no hope of cure or smile,
No family there to cherish.

Then came a man with powerful hands,
Who said, "Go and be clean!"
So they skedaddled away, a happier band
Though not sure what they’d seen.

9 went on, but 1 came back,
Grateful, to the ground he fell.
Jesus, surprised at the others lack
Said, “Go! Your faith has made you well.”
