Today’s word is “paczki” ... a traditional Polish doughnut, filled with jam or another sweet filling and covered with powdered sugar or icing. (Dictionary.com) Paczki is the plural form of pazek ... the famous Polish confection!

Ah the sweet treats,
And how we celebrate,
But then our weight,
We have to recalibrate.
Paczki and chocolates,
Breads, cookies and pies,
For every occasion,
No one knows why.
Treats make us happy,
And sassy and cared for,
I think that maybe,
That’s what they’re there for!
