Warm
Palm trees sway in Florida,
Sunshine outlines shadowed lanes,
People on bicycles and on foot,
Along the roadway reign.
They have escaped the darg,
The drag of dull routine,
Now they float in a happy daze,
One with the tropic scene.
They’ll return home at a later day,
With tales of sand and sea,
With a shell or two and memories,
Of days that were carefree.
