Today’s word is “oblivescence” ... on-luh-ves-uh ns ... the process of forgetting. (Dictionary.com)
What?
In the world of oblivescence,
Waking, every day is new,
Good friend’s names sometimes forgotten,
Even with a face in view.
Entertainment is refreshing,
We can watch movies again,
Books are read over and over,
Even though that’s where we’ve been.
It’s a disorienting space,
Where the old and new are merged,
And frightening in it’s reality,
As memories and life converge.
