Today’s word is “crump” ... kruhmp ... to make a crunching sound, as in walking over snow, as snow when trodden on. (Dictionary.com)
Report
All the people in the north,
Crump about on frozen snow,
Sad and shaking in their boots,
Wishing for somewhere else to go.
Those in the warmer, happier climes,
Smile and walk with measured step,
On the beaches and the hills,
Filled with sunshine, joy and pep.
Still, there’re those who barely notice,
What reports of weather bring,
They’re too busy trudging onward,
To see sun that warms or ice that stings.
