Obverse

Today's word is "obverse" ... The side of a coin, medal, flag, etc. that bears the principal design ... Opposite of reverse.

There's a side we see, of life,
Of every tactile thing,
The part that's obviously here,
Where we're sure that truth and glory cling.

But underneath the heads-up side,
Lies another, holy and unseen,
Where the invisible seems to hide,
Though shining sometimes inbetween.

So is the obverse, where we live, true reality?
Or is that back on the reverse, the side we cannot see?
Where you put your guess, is where your life will be.
A choice whose consequence, might ring eternally.
