To the origin of truth and to understand ...
Who ask question after question ... bluestockings.

Including why their passion, ability
And intellect should not be used to
Guide, direct, and help bring the
Kingdom of God into this world

We should pay attention to the way
In which Jesus treated the women
Who followed and the women who
We're encountered by him.

The sick were healed, even one too
Unclean to touch; they were engaged
In conversation, even one too shunned
To speak with her own kind.

One was shown compassion, outrageously
Given back a son who was dead; one was
Allowed to wash the feet of the master
With hair unbound ... a scandal.

And, because of him, one ancient one was
admired for her generosity for generations.
In his day, Jesus lifted up the marginalized,
The forgotten, the women ... for all time.
