Today's word is "annulate" ... Having rings or ringlike bands. I think I must have lost my mind on this one and used the wrong word! Here's the fix. That's what happens when you're working with a root canal hangover!!

How did this start, this downward slide.
With an annulated serpent as they say?
Was it he who caused opposites to collide
And set the scene for God's own play?
However it happened, this long ago scheme,
We now deal with its truth revealed,
And every day remember the theme,
That even in darkness, God's love is our seal.
