We say sayonara to the old year,
It was not filled with a great deal of cheer,
2020 will not be forgotten,
Because of all that seemed to be rotten.
So we turn our backs on all of those things,
And hope for the good the new year will bring,
And that through it all, gratefully we’ll find,
The way to give comfort, to be good and kind.
