Today’s word is “zeitgeber” ... an environmental cue, as the length of daylight or the degree of temperature, that helps to regulate the cycles of an organism's biological clock. (Dictionary.com)
Reverse
It’s all upside down,
The zeitgeber’s been broken,
The young are up all hours,
Sleeping when others have awoken.
Then, when adults drift off,
They begin to eat and play,
Homework and games their choice,
Until the break of day.
And we all are wondering,
How long can this chaos last?
Can order come back into our lives,
With this year firmly in the past?
