Today’s word is “cornucopia” ... kawr-nuh-koh-pee-uh ... Classical Mythology. a horn containing food, drink, etc., in endless supply, said to have been a horn of the goat Amalthaea. (Dictionary.com)
Sit
Who fills the cornucorpia,
That horn of plenty we desire,
Which we find most satisfying,
Of which we speak with tongues like fire.
Having everything we need,
We take for granted its true source,
Believing in our own poor power,
To master this, the roughest course.
That mythological belief,
Shivers under heaven’s gaze,
Soon enough our sated selves,
Will with understanding blaze.
