Pandurate ... Mountain

Today's word is "pandurate" ... PAN-duh-ret ... Shaped like a fiddle, as a leaf. (dictionary.com)

Mountain
Virgin forest as far as eye can see,
Existing since all time began,
It seemed to me.

Pine-scented breeze wafting warm,
Caressing earth and sky,
Eager for storms.

Pandurate leaves quaking for joy,
As uneven drops touch down,
Their marriage, coy.

This moment is enshrined,
In that place of silent heart,
The memory, mine.
