Camelopard ... Walls

Today's word is "camelopard" ... kuh-MEL-uh-phard ... Archaic. a giraffe.

Walls
If you go to a nearby zoo,
You might see a beast or two,
A camelopard or elephant.
Or birds with beaks most strangely bent.

Anyway, this variety,
Creates a strange society,
Creatures who'd like to eat their neighbor,
No matter the current flavor.

When we look over our fences,
I'd like to think we'd keep our senses,
That our neighbors could safely rest,
Not watch for uninvited guests.
