Inanition ... Crawl

Today’s word is “inanition” ... lack of vigor; lethargy. (Dictionary.com)

Crawl
He moves so slowly through the trees,
From branch to branch he wanders,
His energy’s in short supply,
So he hangs, (and ponders?)

This inanition’s his defense,
Who can see him as he moves?
He has his own strange pathways,
His own leafy, pokey grooves.

He pursues his life this way,
In quiet and in peace,
He is slow; he is extreme,
A measured masterpiece.
