Numbers and figures, places and names,
All the events of the past,
Ideas and concepts, litter the air,
A bonanza of facts; will they last?
We know everything there is to be known,
And it’s all at the tap of our finger,
It’s going top speed, all that we need,
And on nothing at all will we linger,
Despite this abundance, wisdom’s not guaranteed,
We have seen our weakness displayed,
For goodness and right and fairness and light,
We’re on our knees and desperately pray.
