Shaky
Please, is this the final night,
Of the gruesome, silly season,
When the heebie-jeebies reign,
And most have lost their reason?
Soon the pumpkins will be smashed,
All the candy will be eaten (!),
And the dentists’ best advice,
Will be soundly beaten.
Tomorrow we can look ahead,
To gratefulness and thanks,
And then to Christmas, joyfully,
Away with fear and pranks.
