Today's word is "rufescent" ... roo-FES-uhnt... somewhat reddish; tinged with red; rufous. (dictionary.com)
Soon
The cold and dark of night,
Swirling snow flakes light,
Make it pleasant to remember,
Rufescent skies of last September.
Long, dark winter nears,
As fireplaces cheer,
And summer memories fade,
Warm sand; umbrella's shade.
Now, epiphanies and wonders,
Wine skins torn asunder,
Making way for songs of joy,
At the birth of one small boy.
