Anatine ... Eat

Today's word is "anatine" ... AN-uh-tahyn ... resembling a duck. of or pertaining to the family Anatidae, comprising the swans, geese, and ducks.

Eat
They stand in line, anatine,
Waiting for their dinner,
Hoping for a table, near,
A person who's a winner.

Elbows they would rub, and snub,
Those beneath their station,
While the morsels nestle in,
Their lips, without a ration.

I'd rather dine, with folks ... mine,
And live without pretention,
Enjoying common food just fine,
And conversation without tension.
