Gossamer ... Waft

Today's word is "gossamer" ... GOS-uh-mer ... a fine, filmy cobweb seen on grass or bushes or floating in the air in calm weather, especially in autumn.

Waft
This life. Held lightly,
fragile as gossamer ...
is what we have. We
think, sometimes, that
it will go on forever.
Or that we will. Which is
an entirely different
subject. Because there
is a distinct possibility
that we will. Go on.
We have been promised
a kingdom without tears,
where all is well. With that
in mind, we can bear
knowing that we are
light as air. As spirit.
As a breath from God.
