Blow

Winter days slowly unwind,

Frigorific winds, unkind,

Begin, retreat, begin once more,

Rattling window sash and doors.

Great anticipations rise,

Vagrant snow hides in disguise,

Melts, evaporates and rains,

Erasing all of summer's gains.

Through this season's miseries,

The blessed, fortunate will flee,

The rest will live by firelight,

'Til Warmth returns with sunshine bright.
