Counterpoise

Today's word is "counterpoise" ... To balance by an opposing weight, counteract by an opposing force. To bring into equilibrium.

Heavy
See saws go both up and down
As long as both kids the same weight are,
If one Is thin and one is fat,
Counterpoise won't work like that.

One will stay up in the air, the other
Grounded thinking it's not fair.
Nothing can make them move at all,
Until one jumps off and the other falls.

Sometimes balance is the best,
And all are happy in this rest,
But if progress is sometimes right
Opposites might just have to fight.
