Today’s word is “indigenous” ... relating to or being a people who are the original, earliest known inhabitants of a region, or are their descendants. (Dictionary.com)
Gather
Mountains high and dangerous,
Plains that run beyond the eye,
Jungles deep and mysterious,
Lands of ice and sky,
All hold human families,
Indigenous and proud,
With accidental colors,
Voices soft and loud.
No matter our origins,
Our likenesses define,
We love and live together,
Earth has no dividing lines.
