Today’s word is “ecoanxiety” ... anxiety caused by a dread of environmental perils, especially climate change, and a feeling of helplessness over the potential consequences for those living now and even more so for those of later generations.
Stormy
Seems there’s always something,
To take your breath away,
A nation with no conscience,
A bullet that is stray.
We are paralyzed; immobilized,
By fears of every kind,
Ecoanxiety, and fear of self,
Creep into unstable minds.
Despite what some pundits say,
Truth is well and evergreen,
We are held in God’s embrace,
Things are not what they seem.
