Greek ... Laugh

Today’s word is “gleek” ... gleek ... Archaic. to make a joke; jest. (Dictionary.com)

Laugh
In the olden days,
A comedic one would gleek,
And the common folk,
Would laugh and cry and shriek.

They still ply their trade today,
The ones who slyly wink,
And joke about most everything,
That they can bind and link.

With all this famous levity,
You’d think we’d rise with glee,
But their unkind humor,
Is setting no one free.
