Today’s word is “bagatelle” ... bag-uh-tel ... something of little value or importance; a trifle. (dictionary.com)
Slip
One little snowflake,
A bagatelle small,
Teeniest nothing,
Crystalline fall.
It slips through the air,
Unnoticed by most,
And will soon vanish,
With nothing to boast.
But snowflakes appear,
In winter’s delight,
Crowding the thin air,
A wonderous sight.
In their abundance,
They dance and they spin,
Hiding their power,
In magical skin.
