Today’s word is “bedizen” ... bih-dahy-Zuker n ... to dress or adorn in a showy, gaudy, or tasteless manner. (Dictionary.com)
Airborn
We wait between.
The bedizened Christmas tree
sparkles through the last days
of its glory.
The new year is not yet born,
though we feel it’s labor pains.
We dream here of a savior born,
humbling us with his coming.
We dream of what we will do
with the hours and hours
which tantalize us with hope.
But in this until time,
snow falls, candles burn.
