Dyad

Today's word is "dyad" ... A group of two; couple; pair.

Togetherness
Holding hands as they have for years,
they shuffle down the sidewalk,
through the tree-lined park. To the pond.
Fingers entwined, their gaits match perfectly.
They whisper a word now and then. Laugh.
Remember. This dyad, this oneness. Where
does one end and the other begin? How did
this life become so short. So quickly.
Looking back at the beginning ... one could
almost believe, that from God's point of view,
within one day, there are a thousand years.
