Analphabetic

Today's word is "analphabetic" ... (An-al-fuh-BET-ik), not alphabetic: an analphabetic arrangement of letters. Unable to read or write; illiterate: analphabetic peoples. (Dictionary.com)

ABC
How could I ever get along
Without the alphabet?
For me it's words, all day long,
Better friends I've never met!

How would one communicate,
Analphabetically?
By winks and shrugs and grunting sounds,
Or jumping round with glee?

I think I like this writing thing,
And it would be absurd,
To write a book or poem if
A word could not be heard.
