Easter

Thousands of dominoes fall. It's astonishing!

What cleverness. What patience! We agnize

a certain kind of mad genius as we watch

row on row on row of thousands of little

pieces fall and crash and spell words and 

lead upstairs and down to their inevitable

stopping point. Which, sometimes happens

accidentally. With a sad brush of sleeve,

or finger. And then ... What do you do?

Well, start again. As if it never happened.

Because the joyous outcome is sure, once

everything has been set in motion.

And then ... Surprise! Wonder! Amazement!

Even though you knew from the start

exactly what was going to happen.
