Today’s word is “multiverse” ... muhl-ti-vurs ... a hypothetical collection of identical or diverse universes, including our own. (Dictionary.com)
Investigate
We just can not figure out,
the source of our beginnings,
Perhaps the hand of God,
or chance on chance on chance.
As our minds whirr ‘round and ‘round,
looking for the beginning of the thread,
Nothing is certain. There are no facts. There is
a curtain, between us and the
start of everything.
So we speculate. About a lucky accident.
Or strangers from another galaxy
flinging us and wonder at our earth.
About a multiverse that will solve our problem
with singularity.
Yet, says Occam, the most simple solution,
should be taken seriously.
Nothing has yet to beget anything ...
as far as we can tell.
