Anthophobia ... Yikes!

Today’s word is “anthophobia” ... an-thuh-doh-bee-uh ... an abnormal fear of flowers. (Dictionary.com)

Yikes!
If dandelions outrageously roared,
Or snapdragons showed their teeth,
Or if from swishing horsetails,
We could not find relief,

If porcupine grass was dangerous,
Or bee balm could fly high,
We’d need to watch our steps,
And keep one eye on the sky.

It would be no wonder then,
If anthophobia caused us all,
To tiptoe through our days,
Fearfull of the stationary and the small.
