The song's already written,
Yet, as I gaze on tinseled trees,
I find myself well smitten.
Lights of hope and ornaments,
Symbols of love and peace,
Reminders of a quiet night,
When troubles for a moment ceased.
The newborn cry, it echoed,
All the world around,
And love encircled all mankind,
With that infant sound.
