Teeter
People at the top,
Seem so shiny and so bright,
The image they reflect,
Is of truth and right.
Yet they can be as gormless,
As one on the bottom rung,
And by their willful actions,
They too can be hung.
Why does power corrupt,
Even the purest soul?
What exactly does it take,
To keep a person whole?
