Today’s word is “thrawn” ... contrary; peevish; stubborn. (Dictionary.com)
Mews
I happen to have a thrawn cat,
Kipling says he “walks by himself,”
And he walks wherever he wants,
The top of the stove, the top of the shelf.
And he goes about when he wants,
Morning or midnight,
The door for him is open,
(We just don’t want to fight.)
So he roams and then comes home,
For breakfast or a snack,
He’s content with all his servants,
And there’s nothing that he lacks!
