Pause
It’s strange that in deep in chaos,
Like a hurricane’s calm eye,
Lies a place that God creates,
Where all our tears are dried.
No one understands this peace ...
Equanimity beyond our ken,
But it’s real and lasting,
Far past the last amen.
It does not come with calling,
But in the quiet hour,
When you least expect it,
With blessing and with power.
