Prepare
Each day it appears,
Evil walks the earth,
I see it’s machinations,
Destroying things of worth.
It turns us on each other,
Over imaginary slights,
It encourages mean jealousy,
And causes us to fight.
It gets us ready to believe,
Some rise above the rest,
When in the eyes of our God,
No one is the best.
We need to trust our instincts,
We know what love requires,
To walk in love with kindness,
And with compassion face the fire.
